What We Believe

Scripture

We believe the Bible is the complete and all sufficient written revelation of God.

We believe the Scriptures are fully authoritative, being “God-breathed" and the sole infallible foundation of everything that we do. 

The Sovereignty of God

We believe in one holy, true and eternal God as revealed in sacred Scripture.

We believe God is the Creator of all creation in heaven and earth. 

We believe that God is perfect and lacks nothing, rather God is the sovereign source of everything. 

We believe God contains all power, all knowledge and wisdom, and all glory, honor and praise is due to Him. God has masterfully decreed everything that has and will come to pass for the glory of His Name. 

The Blessed Trinity

We believe the Bible teaches that there is only one being of God, yet there are three Persons who share this one being of God: The Father, the Son, and the Spirit. Each Person is fully and totally God, as expressed in Scripture. 

We say "Trinity" to describe the harmonious and eternal relationship between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God’s Plan of Redemption

We believe that man was created in the image of God. Man rebelliously sinned against His Creator and as a result man became spiritually dead, totally unwilling and incapable of seeking God. God, from eternity past, having foreordained all things, graciously chose and joined a certain people to Christ Jesus so that He might redeem them from their sin and in so doing bring glory to Himself. 

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died in the place of this elect people, providing full and complete forgiveness of sins by His death upon the cross of Calvary. 

We believe was Jesus bodily resurrected from the dead proving to be the Messiah, victorious over son and death. No other work can provide for forgiveness of sins and no addition can be made to the completed and finished work of Christ.

Salvation

We believe that God, in His sovereign grace and mercy, regenerates sinful men by the power of the Holy Spirit, not by any action of their own, bringing them to new life. 

We believe that God grants to them the gifts of faith and repentance, which they then exercise by believing in Christ and turning from their sins in love for God. As a result of this faith, by Christ's sacrifice, God justifies the one who believes. 

We believe God bears fruit in His people through new life. God’s gift of faith and the work of the indwelling Holy Spirit in the lives of the elect will result in good works. These good works are necessary evidence of saving faith but not for salvation. 

We believe we are saved by God's grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone to the glory of God alone. 

Church

We believe that Jesus Christ established His Church that is made up of all His elect. We believe Christ's Church to be all who believe in Jesus and grow in the love, knowledge and obedience of His Holy Word. 

We believe the local expression of the Church is vital for proper worship and spiritual growth. Congregational involvement in joyful fellowship and loving outreach is encouraged.

We believe strongly in loving our local community by the labor of sowing the seeds of the gospel and living the example of Jesus Christ.

Christ's Return

We believe as the Scriptures promise that the King of kings, Jesus Christ is coming again to judge the living and the dead. 

Until His glorious return believers are to live lives that bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. The Church is to be intentional and diligent in the work of evangelism and discipleship, spreading the gospel and teaching the Word of God.
